Way to much. Walk away. It's okay.
On a happy note Joaquín Sorolla’s “Vision of Spain” HERE is a la pintura that i wouldn't mind putting in my casa.
In spanish "Esta pintura es muy bonita!"
When i think of Spain, what i see in this painting is the first thing that comes into my mind. Amazingly beautiful women adorned with flowers and bright colored dresses dancing all the time.
Spanish dancing is just fantastic to watch. So here is a muy bien LINK to a traditional Spanish dance. Seriously? Who knew dancing in the dirt could create such an effect!
The intensity of the dance is somewhat mimicked in the hairstyle as well, that tight formal bun with the little curled piece of hair next to the ear just makes me think "serious", or in this case..
"seriously awesome".
I suppose the first thing i have learned interesting about the Spanish language would be that it is not as hard as i had built it up to be in my head. While it's going to take some work to get used to, some of the diction makes more sense then English. The confusion of "Ph" is taken out of the word Photo and replaced with something much more practical like "Foto". Simple is good.
Hasta Manana and Buenos noches!

Great art link! Joan Miro's "The Village of Prades" appeals to my Cubist taste. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI never thought of spanish being easier than english, but many people that come from other languages say that English is ridiculously tedious and needs to be more simplified. I just thought they were crazy or something, but your example of "foto" has got me looking at more cases and comparisons of the 2 languages. So far, its in support of Spanish being easier. Thank god we already got the hard one down!
